Terms of Service
Last updated: May 31, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PlantPair mobile and web application (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Subscription terms
PlantPair may offer optional auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock premium features. The price, billing period (for example, monthly or annual), and features of each subscription are shown on the in-app purchase screen before you confirm. Your subscription begins as soon as your payment is processed.
2. Billing and renewals
Subscriptions purchased on iOS are billed to your Apple ID and managed by Apple under their standard subscription rules. Your subscription automatically renews at the same price and interval unless you cancel auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your device's Subscriptions settings. Refunds, where available, are handled by the platform that processed your payment (Apple or Google).
If a trial is offered, any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where required by law.
3. User responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to use the Service lawfully and to not (a) reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service; (b) upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; (c) attempt to access other users' accounts or data; or (d) use the Service in a way that disrupts other users. Gardening advice provided by PlantPair (including AskSprout) is informational only and is not a substitute for professional horticultural, medical, or safety guidance.
4. Service availability
We work to keep PlantPair available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always accessible. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Planned and unplanned maintenance may temporarily affect availability. Push notifications and weather alerts depend on third-party providers and device settings and may be delayed or undelivered.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlantPair and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
6. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to other users or the Service.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
